Severe Leg Cramps, Especially at Night, Tight Knots, What is the cause???
Written by admin on March 2, 2009 – 7:57 am -I have severe pain in my legs (mostly the thighs), it hurts so bad I can't sleep at night. I can feels large knots in my muscles up and down my legs and am wondering what is causing this condition. I am very sleep deprived, insomnia and severe obstructive sleep apnea. The CPAP mask is not helping, and I think the reason is because of the pain. It hurts so bad, it feels as if the pain is coming from deep within the bone. Any conditions which might cause this?
Low potassium levels have been linked to leg cramps as well as dehydration. How is your diet? Do you take a multi vitamin? Do you drink plenty of water? Eat a banana every day – they are high in potassium, drink plenty of water – if that doesn't help or it gets worse see your doctor.
