Who could I get help with applying for a NIH research grant with the Gov? This grant is recomended by the FDA?
Written by admin on February 2, 2009 – 7:36 am -I made a science discovery concerning oral devises for correcting chronic snoring, and Sleep apnea. I have two designs patented. I need funding to complete the research for the third patent development. Dr. Susan Runner of the CDRH counsel recomended a NIH grant since the FDA is standing behind my science. With the reasearch I have completed, The NIH reasearch grant has more than great chances to be approved.
I need help in applying for the application because of lack of understanding.
To apply for grants, go to Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov . They have everything you need to apply for grants.
The first step is to register with Grants.gov and their registration process can be accessed from http://www.grants.gov/
1. Get a Data Universal Number System (DUNS) Number
2. Register with Central Contractor Registry (CCR)
3. Authorize your Organization's Representatives
4. Login as an E-Business Point of Contact (POC)
You will first be asked to find the grant number of the grant that you wish to apply for. You can get this from the Catalog of Domestic Assistant http://www.cfda.gov which is the federal database of all grants.
If you need help in writing the grant, I suggest you check the non profits in your area if they can recommend any grant writers to help you. Or you can check with grant writing associations if they can recommend someone in your area:
American Association of Grant Professionals http://www.grantprofessionals.org
GrantExperts.com http://www.grantexperts.com
Association of Fund Raising Professionals http://www.afpnet.org/
You can also take time to learn how to write the grant yourself
